DHE Assam announces Combined Merit Scholarship 2023-24

Directorate of Higher Education Assam has announced for Combined Merit Scholarship Scheme 2023-24 for Degree and Masters level together. Applications in online available format are invited from eligible students from Assam to apply for combined degree and post-graduate scholarship scheme. This scheme enables students to avail scholarship on a monthly basis in the course of pursuing garduation and post-graduation.

Eligibility conditions for Combined Merit Scholarship:

• The applicants must secure a minimum qualifying marks in the following levels:
• 60% in Higher Secondary Final Examination (Class 12th) for those applying for the Degree level scholarship
• 60% in General Degree Course (Graduation) for those applying for the post-graduation (Master Degree) scholarship
• This scholarship scheme is applicable for students enrolled in 1st Semester General Degree Course under B.A/B.Sc/B.Com (Arts/Science/Commerce) stream and students enrolled in 1st Semester General Master Degree Course under M.A/M.Sc/M.Com (Arts/Science/Commerce) stream.
• Students must be enrolled in provincialized/ Govt. College/or State/Central Universities of Assam for the session 2023-24.
• The applicant must be a domicile of Assam.
• The students/applicants must have an active valid bank account in their name preferably in SBD and details such as Bank name, Branch Name, IFSC, Account No etc. to be submitted along with the application form.
• Scholarship will be disbursed through DBT in respective bank accounts of applicants.
• Applicants should possess requisite qualification as stated above.
• Selection for Combined Merit Scholarship will be made strictly on the basis of merit in all cases and also to be restricted as per budget allocations.
• Incomplete application forms or any misinformation provided or inactive bank accounts will lead to cancellation of candidature. Therefore, it is clearly necessary to provide accurate information while filling up the application form.
• The respective College/University will form a committee to verify the documents and data of students submitting the applications.

• The applicants will have to submit online application available in the official website. Click HERE to view online application or register online.
• Application starting date: 01/11/2023
• Application ending date: 30/11/2023
• After successful submission of online application, the applicants need to take a print of the duly filled application form and submit the hardcopy to the Registrar/Principal/Head of the Institute along with necessary documents.
• The concerned College/ University will be responsible for verification of documents and data of the applicant after which the Registrar/Head of the Institution/Principal will submit the final list of the applicants to the Directorate of Higher Education, Kahilipara by 7/12/2023.
• Applications submitted in other than online format will not be accepted.

Documents required:

The following documents are required for applying to the Combined Merit Scholarship Scheme:

• Certificate from the Registrar/Principal/Head of the Institution stating that the applicant is currently a student of that institute. This document is to be submitted mandatorily.
• Photo copy of the 1st page of the active bank account passbook.
• Marksheet of the last qualifying examination.
• Photocopy of Adhaar card.
• Passport photo and Signature.
