Official Job Portal Assam Government: Register for jobs, recent vacancies and updates 2023

Assam Government has rolled out a separate official job portal for jobseekers to locate jobs under one single platform. This portal was launched under the Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training (DECT), Government of Assam. This portal provides access to unemployed youths, employers, as well as interested skill learners to register and stay updated latest job opportunities.

Objectives of Assam Government Official Job Portal:

• To facilitate job opportunities for job seekers of Assam.
• To grant easy access to the unemployed youths about various jobs.
• To provide a convenient technique for application to jobs.
• To provide a platform for the employers for easy hiring.
• To present transparency in the hiring process.
• To notify and update job seekers on recent vacancies in the public as well as private sector.

Key Features of the Assam Government Official Job Portal:

• It provides creation of a port folio of job seekers.
• Under the portal, the stakeholders can upload their Resume/CV and start creating their profile. The users can constantly update their profile and add any new or existing information relevant for their job search.
• The portal also provides customized job search as per location, discipline, area of interests etc.
• The portal facilitates registration and log in of users to access the job platform.
• It also provides the employers a open avenue to offer jobs and notify about latest vacancies in the portal.
• The job seekers must be registered under Assam Employment Exchange for registration under this portal.

Conditions of Usability of the Portal:

• Jobseekers must be 18 years of age or older to visit or use job.assam.gov.in in any manner.
• At the time of enrolment of the job-seekers, Job Portal does not guarantee the authenticity of certificates relating to the Caste, Address, Qualification etc. The Job Portal, however, does not verify the information on Experience, Physical Measurement or contact details. Employers / Placement Agencies are responsible for checking the authenticity of the information provided by the job-seekers. 
• An Employer shall not post duplicate positions, multiple positions within one advertisement, or copy (plagiarize) other employment advertisements or candidate profiles.
• Not allowed to post any resume or apply for any job on behalf of another party.
•  Not allowed to set more than one copy of the same resume to public at any one time.
• Prohibited to post or submit any incomplete, false or inaccurate biographical information or information which is not your own.
• The Employer/ Placement Agencies shall not post any job that pays commission only like pyramid scheme, franchisee, distributorship etc.
• The Employers / Placement Agencies will be solely responsible for the correctness, authenticity or updating of any information about the Organisation / agency or jobs offered for their respective role. The Employers / Placement Agencies should not post or submit any incomplete, false or inaccurate information.
• The Employer / Placement Agencies shall not use any Resume / Database or any part of it owned by any purpose other than fulfilment of manpower requirement in an organization, like sale or promotion of any products or services.
• The Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Assam shall have the sole discretion on whether or not to publish any advertisement posted by any Employer/ Placement Agency.
