Nijut Babu Asoni 2026: Important Updates, Financial Assistance to Male Students

Nijut Babu Asoni is a financial assistance scheme introduced by Government of Assam in the year 2025 to help economically weak male students pursuing higher education like UG/PG. To ensure gender-balanced support and address dropout trends among economically vulnerable boys, the Higher Education Department is implementing the “Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Asoni” for the academic year 2025–26, providing DBT-based financial assistance to male students enrolled in UG 1st Year and PG 1st Year in Government and Provincialised educational institutions of Assam.
